My folks lived in DC’s Capitol Hill neighborhood across the alley from Gary and Leigh Hart. He actually was caught by journalists who staked out his house behind my Mom & Dad’s place after being photographed with Donna Rice down in Florida on the boat named “Monkey Business.” He told reporters nothing was going on and dared them to follow him. So he went back to DC, press corps in tow, and a couple of them parked all night in the alley between his house and my folks. They saw him go into his house with Donna Rice, and the lovebirds didn’t re-emerge til the next day. What an idiot!
